Paul Smallwood, owner and president of FlowSense was presented an award in recognition as one of the top minority business owners in the Twin Cities during a reception on June 23 at the Nicollet Island Pavillion, Minnesota. The 2005 Minority Business Awards was hosted by the Business Journal and emceed by FOX 9 NEWS anchors in celebration of diversity in business.

The Minority Business Leadership award was presented by Sandy Shapiro (BlueCross BlueShield), Dean Chris Puto (University of St. Thomas), and Steve Bianci (Wells Fargo).
