FlowSense awarded design & engineering services contract by US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
FlowSense, LLC, Maple Grove, MN - March 24, 2006. FlowSense announced today that its environmental services team has been awarded a contract from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for the design and engineering of a proportional control chemical dilution system for toxicology research at the Mid-Continent Ecology Division.
The contract specified the conceptual design of a proportional control dilution system capable of pumping chemical from a stock solution, diluting it to several independent chemical concentrations, and delivering it either to a reservoir, or directly to a manifold, from which a delivery system will distribute diluted chemical to the individual exposure tanks. Control of flow and dilution parameters will be defined and monitored via a single computer interface.
